Mina Food, RB Rembang Assisted MSME Utilizes Barracuda Fish as the Main Ingredient

Rembang, August 22nd, 2024 – The frozen food business is still an option in the community, one of which is processed marine fish products that are utilized to reap the coffers. Such is the case with Erlina Restu Winarsih, Owner of processed sea fish Mina Food from Rembang, which is one of the fostered BUMN Houses (RB) Rembang. RB Rembang is managed by a co-partnership between PT Semen Gresik and its parent company PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG).

Starting from a home industry, which is managed independently and marketed within the scope of Rembang. Since joining RB Rembang in 2020, Mina Food with the product name Ayasea has been able to develop and widen its market reach to outside areas in Central Java.

Erlina admitted that Mina Food can produce hundreds of kilograms of processed fish ingredients which are processed into various products every month. The distribution of products can reach areas in Central Java including Rembang, Semarang, Kendal, and Magelang, and is marketed online throughout Indonesia.

The business, which was established in 2006, was formed from a family business and the background of the people in the Rembang Regency area who are near the sea so they like to consume processed sea fish.

Ayasea Frozen fish products have a GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) certificate from the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries of the Republic of Indonesia. Not only that, one of Ayasea's products, Ayasea Fish Nugget, has also received an SNI Certificate from the National Standardization Agency.

“Mina Food or Ayasea products are produced with high quality, which is processed with selected Barracuda fish. Fresh fish from the pantura sea, because in the Rembang area the catch of Barracuda fish is abundant,” she said.

Erlina added that Ayasea's processed sea fish include dragon feet, shrimp panko, cikado dumplings, meatball satay, fish meatballs, fish sausage, fish nuggets, fish sticks, fish brains, pempek, fish tofu, fish donuts, fish roll, conch mas, tofu meatballs, fish spring rolls, fish dumplings, shrimp hakau, etc.

She added that through the assistance of RB Rembang Semen Gresik, many benefits were obtained to expand market reach, increase turnover, and increase knowledge about the business world.

“Hopefully, the assistance from RB Rembang can have a positive impact on MSMEs in Rembang, in a real and broad way. More creative, innovative, comprehensive, and standardized to achieve clear targets and objectives in assisting MSMEs, especially in the surrounding Rembang Regency area, and contribute to the economic progress of the Rembang community,” she said.

According to him, during its 3 years of existence, RB Rembang has recorded a total transaction of IDR 3.86 billion, with 409 MSME partners, succeeded in delivering more than 88 MSMEs to upgrade, absorbed approximately 1597 workers, and held 91 training sessions for fostered MSMEs, millennials, and the community.
